For over twenty five years Marta Tornero has utilized her background in Architecture and Fine Arts to create innovative seating designs. Her style emphasizes fluid simplicity while respecting functionality and ergonomic considerations. It is precisely in obtaining a subtle balance between the esthetics of the unit and its performance in the work place, that her work achieves uniqueness and originality.
In creating over forty designs during her career for multiple furniture manufacturing clients, Marta has introduced engineering manufacturing methods, often utilizing new technologies and materials. She holds seven US patents related to seating products
Winner of five Neocon Silver Awards, and a Bronze IIDEX award for Product Innovation she is also an accomplished artist, Her sculptures have been shown in museum and art galleries world wide, including the Sala Gaudi in Barcelona, SECCA, The Weatherspoon Galley, Green Hill Gallery, and The National Arts Club In New York.
