“OK is not ok and good enough is never good enough,” according to Michael Wolk, the founder and creative director of Miami-based Michael Wolk Design Associates. Wolk and his extraordinary design team create public spaces, residential, hospitality and corporate interiors as well as furniture collections for over two dozen licensees -- all in his signature Neo Modern Style. He explains the latter as a marriage of the exuberance of dynamic American modernism and the grace and elegance of a full range of European design traditions. Less well known is Michael Wolk’s passion for creating one of a kind pieces of art furniture that often give a unique, whimsical touch to projects that the firm is designing. 

Wolk began to pursue his passion immediately after graduating from Pratt Institute, honing his considerable skills working on John Lennon’s and Yoko Ono’s Joko Recording studio in Soho. Michael Wolk has established a name for himself among the most prestigious clients covering multiple disciplines, including The Related Group, Deyer/Trump Developers, Burger King, Sony, Lionstone Development Corporation, Goldman Properties, MIA Shoes and owners of numerous private properties.

The firm’s numerous accolades run the gamut from the ASID International Product Design Award, AIA Interior Designer of the Year, grand prizes in numerous Florida Style Furniture Design Competitions to BASF Fame Awards, ASFD Pinnacle Awards, the DCOTA Stars of Design Award for Best Product Designer, and the American Corporate Identity Award for Excellence.
