Based in High Point, North Carolina, Patrician was founded by the Stout family, where three generations expanded our product lines while making the Patrician name synonymous with elegance and quality. Through attention to the finest details, and by listening to the needs of our customers, Patrician grew to be recognized for our superior design style and ability to design functional furniture for the healthcare environment that makes patients and their families feel more at home.

In 2008, Safco Products, an office furniture manufacturer based in Minneapolis, acquired Patrician. This acquisition strengthened Patrician as a company, while allowing them to continue manufacturing high quality furniture along with the exquisite fabrics, woods and superior craftsmanship and stitching Patrician customers have come to expect.

Since then, Patrician’s strong attention to quality, craftsmanship and their legacy of providing superior furniture and services has not changed. However, their offering continues to evolve as the needs of designers, businesses and healthcare environments diversify and grow.
