ENVIRONMENTAL PRACTICES AND COMMITMENTS
Through our desire to manufacture nurturing products for our customers comes our commitment to nurturing environments. We believe in strengthening the bond between human and nature, and for Patrician this means designing products and processes that can sustain any environment, whether it’s inside or outside.
• We strive to produce the highest quality furniture while helping to maintain and improve the environment.
• We recognize we have a responsibility to our employees, community and the environment as a whole.
• We ensure our manufacturing processes, materials and packaging methods are consistent with our commitment.
SUSTAINABLE FORESTS
At Patrician we reinforce our dedication to the rain forest ecosystem by using wood from second growth, managed forests and selecting wood certified by the Pan
European Forestry Certification Council (PEFC).
MATERIALS USAGE
• For our in-house cushion fabrication we use GREENGUARD Certified adhesives. These environmentally friendly adhesives promote a healthier indoor environment.
• When creating our products we choose to use BiOH polyols instead of petroleum-based polyols. Using renewable resources in production helps to decrease the depletion of natural resources.
• All plywood in our puzzle frames, and MDF used in seat panels and tabletops meet CARB standards.
• We work with our suppliers to ensure the materials we select for our products are of the best quality, but are also as environmentally friendly as possible. The unyielding durability of these materials allows less replacement, ensuring a longer-lasting value for our customers and the environment.
PAT-COIL
Our innovative PAT-Coil system delivers more than relaxing comfort to any space, it also extends Patrician’s commitment to the environment.
• The use of inner coil springs in our PAT-Coil system replaces 75% of traditional petroleum-based foam usedvby most manufacturers within the seat cushion.
• The steel used to fabricate the springs is derived from over 90% recycled material.
PAT-SHIELD
All Patrician products with exposed wood come standard with PAT-Shield and its antimicrobial additive SilverIon Technology. This technology is incorporated into a catalyzed varnish finishing process to ensure long-lasting beauty with the ability to keep indoor environments healthy, just as we help protect our outdoor environments.
• The finishing process is effective in controlling the spread of unhealthy agents in many
environments including high traffic areas such as reception and lounge areas and hospitality environments where they can easily be spread from surface to surface.
• The antimicrobial additive works to prevent the spread of mildew, mold, bacteria, odors and fungus helping everyone working or passing through these environments stay healthy.
• PAT-Shield is also registered with the EPA under U.S. FIFRA.
CLEAN AIR AND WATER
We strive to maintain a safe working environment by closely monitoring our emissions and waste disposal for both the safety of our workers, community and the natural environment. To reduce the impact of our emissions we go above and beyond the standards set by local, state and federal statutes regarding air and water quality, waste disposal and employee welfare.
ENERGY EFFICIENCY
Our efforts inside our facilities help conserve energy through investments in energy efficient equipment and simple practices such as turning off lights in areas without activity.
ENVIRONMENTAL GOALS
Though we have started our environmental journey, we know there is still more to be done. We are committed to refining our processes to ensure our impact on the Earth is minimal, and continue to develop new and better ways to manufacture all of our products.

to further reduce emissions.
• We look for new and innovative ways to conserve resources throughout our production processes and our everyday use of resources at our facilities.
• We strive to provide packing materials and products that are both recycled and recyclable.
• We will enhance the beauty and durability of our products through more environmentally friendly and efficient processes.
• We encourage more efficient energy use during our manufacturing processes.
